A Miami Gardens woman has been arrested after allegedly throwing a bucket of human waste at her neighbor, fueled by suspicions of an affair involving her husband.
Yirsi Esperanza Machado Rivera, 50, faces burglary and battery charges following the incident at a mobile home community near Miami Gardens, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. The two women reside in separate units of a divided trailer.
The confrontation occurred last Monday evening around 6:15 p.m., when Machado Rivera reportedly knocked aggressively on her neighbor’s door. Upon opening, the victim was accused of having a sexual relationship with Machado Rivera’s husband. Without waiting for a response, Rivera allegedly forced her way inside, physically shoving the neighbor before throwing a bucket filled with human feces at her and then leaving the premises.
According to the arrest report, Machado Rivera had informed a witness beforehand that she intended to throw feces at the victim. When questioned by police, she claimed that she had been using the bucket due to a broken toilet and denied both entering the neighbor’s home and throwing the waste.
Machado Rivera appeared in court where bail was denied. She remains in custody awaiting trial.
