Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, a controversial influencer focused on “looksmaxxing,” reportedly suffered a suspected overdose on Tuesday night and was hospitalized, according to a statement from his representative.
On Wednesday morning, Peters shared a message on X, writing, “Just got home, that was brutal,” alongside a selfie that showed what appeared to be blood or cuts on his face. He added, “The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”
Miami Fire-Rescue responded to a call about a medical emergency involving a male in the Brickell shopping area Tuesday night. However, first responders reported that the individual had already been taken away in a personal vehicle before they arrived, and they made no patient contact.
It remains unclear if Peters was treated at a hospital or by medical personnel. His representative, Mitchell Jackson, confirmed to NBC News that Peters had a suspected overdose and was hospitalized but declined to provide further details.
A video circulating on social media shows Clavicular sitting in a restaurant booth with other influencers, including fellow livestreamer Androgenic. In the clip, Peters appears disoriented, rubbing his eyes and slurring his words as he admits, “Dude, I’m gone.” The conversation includes offers of water and questions about taking Adderall, a medication sometimes misused.
Androgenic later posted on X that Peters rapidly went from coherent to “fairly unresponsive” within moments. The stream was cut off shortly after the situation was recognized, and Peters was rushed to the hospital.
Clavicular gained notoriety online for promoting “looksmaxxing,” a practice aimed at enhancing appearance through rigorous fitness, grooming, and sometimes extreme measures such as intentionally breaking facial bones to alter their shape. His approach and views have sparked significant controversy.
Recently, Peters was arrested on battery charges following an altercation involving two women at a property he rented in Florida. Authorities allege he instigated the fight and shared footage on social media. He has not yet entered a plea in the case.
In another recent incident, Peters abruptly ended an interview with “60 Minutes Australia” when questioned about fellow controversial figure Andrew Tate, saying, “I could teach you about looksmaxxing, and then maybe you could switch that up. But thanks for the time. Appreciate the interview,” before walking off.
Clavicular’s latest health scare adds to a series of contentious moments surrounding the influencer, whose online presence continues to generate both attention and debate.
