New DMV communication tools aim to improve service for all Nevadans

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles is rolling out new tools in all offices to better help customers who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who need language assistance.

These new and improved resources include:

  • Language link interpretation services
  • UbiDuo communication devices
  • “I Speak” language identification cards

One of the updates is Language Link, an interpreting service available 24/7 in more than 240 languages. It is mainly used by the DMV Contact Center and during administrative hearings, where a live interpreter can join a call right away…
