Over a dozen shoulder drivers cited during Nevada Highway Patrol holiday weekend crack down

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — As Memorial Day weekend traffic packed the I-15 corridor, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers in the Primm District stepped up enforcement as drivers streamed back toward California.

Officials say troopers stayed visible on the southbound shoulder near mile marker 1 to deter motorists from using the shoulder to pass.

Troopers issued 13 citations for shoulder driving, including one to a southbound commercial semi-truck, officials said. Another driver cited for shoulder driving was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested…
