LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas judge ruled in favor of NV Energy’s demand charge Tuesday, halting Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford’s attempt to stop the controversial change from going through.
The charge, set to take effect in January, faced scrutiny from people in the community. Solar users claimed the demand charge, a new addition to electricity bills based on the highest 15 minutes of daily usage, would cost them.
