LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 20-year-old Las Vegas woman who was fascinated with guns pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges of kidnapping and involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of a photographer.
Allysandra “Ally” Blea agreed to a plea deal that could result in a five-year sentence. She was accused in the death of Mark Gaughan, a 23-year-old friend — but not a boyfriend, she insisted. According to documents, she was “disgusted” by how much Gaughan loved her, and she didn’t have the same feelings toward him.
Gaughan died during a photo shoot on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025. Police received a 911 call about an “accidental shooting” in a northwest valley neighborhood near Washington Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. He was photographing two women, and they told police that a gun — reportedly belonging to Gaughan — accidently went off. Blea told police the group was drinking before Gaughan started taking photos.
“She was adamant that she did not intentionally kill Mark,” detectives said.
Prosecutors agreed they would not object to a concurrent sentence on the involuntary manslaughter charge, which could result in a minimum sentence of five years. Kidnapping carries a mandatory five-year prison term.
