‘We just saw the fireball’: 911 callers describe deadly crash in Las Vegas with victims trapped inside

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Good Samaritans calling 911 described seeing a “fireball” and rapidly-spreading flames after a crash that ultimately killed a Clark County School District special education teacher.

Jeff Buchbaum, 55, was pronounced dead at the hospital after a crash May 22 near Boulder Highway and Desert Horizons Drive, just south of Russell Road.

Police said 28-year-old Zachary Zwick drove at a “high rate of speed” and collided with the car Buchbaum was driving. His wife, Jennifer Boske, was also injured in the crash as a passenger in the car. She spoke with 8 News Now.

Zwick was charged with two felony counts of reckless driving and was released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond, according to court records…
