Zippy’s Nixes Hualapai Way Diner as Vegas Expansion Heats Up

Zippy’s is pulling the plug on its Hualapai Way restaurant in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, with the spot set to serve its last plate of chili and rice on June 28. The closure trims the Hawaiian favorite’s local footprint at the same time the chain has been growing fast across the valley.

The company framed the shutdown as a “strategic move” tied to its broader growth plans. Zippy’s said it is exploring other locations in the Las Vegas area and in other states and urged loyal customers to keep hitting its Summerlin and Arroyo Crossing restaurants, according to Hawaii News Now.
