Retail giant closing underperforming Las Vegas stores as revenue from resort shops falls

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — British retail giant WH Smith is closing underperforming fashion stores in Las Vegas after revenues declined by 11% over the past seven weeks, according to financial documents.

Although a list of stores closing was not provided, retail locations under WH Smith North America include Marshall Rousso, Misura, Bella Scarpa, The Dean, @ ease, Aka, Carina, Paradiso and O Man.

The retailer indicated 14 “uneconomic fashion stores” are either already closed or closure dates have been set. “The remaining 12 fashion stores are likely to be exited in the balance of the year,” according to a June 10 trading update…
