LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Today is Father’s Day and this weekend hasn’t been as hot as we’re staying near normal, so it’s been quite manageable to be outside if you have some fun plans with dad for late June.
It’s also the first day of astronomical summer, which marks the longest day so far in the year for the Northern Hemisphere. Today we’ll have about 14 hours and 40 minutes of daylight. Sunset tonight in the Vegas valley is at 8:01 pm.
Winds have been light and not too bad but will pick up once again midweek, adding to more fire danger concerns, especially with low relative humidity values and the lack of rain. Wind speeds will remain under 25 mph and look to be a bit stronger towards the end of the week…
