Alpha Kappa Alpha to bring 27,000 members to Las Vegas for 72nd Boule conference

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Thousands of members of one of the nation’s largest African American sororities are expected to descend on Las Vegas next month, bringing a major economic boost and a large-scale community service effort focused on childhood hunger.

About 27,000 members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. are scheduled to be in Las Vegas for the organization’s 72nd Boule conference, set for July 18-24. The sorority was founded more than 100 years ago at Howard University.
