Man arrested in shooting that left man dead, woman injured outside northeast Las Vegas business

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Metro police arrested a man in a shooting that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized outside a northeast valley laundromat, according to Metro police.

On Wednesday, June 24, Metro police arrested 39-year-old Abdul Muhammad on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, and a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

On June 18, around 9 p.m., Metro police responded to a report of a shooting at a business in the 4900 block of East Craig Road near Nellis Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman in the parking lot near a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said that the victims were involved in an argument with a man when he pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds at the victims before leaving the area, according to Metro police.
