Las Vegas-based nurse Marizel Yukee is allegedly facing federal charges for leading a healthcare fraud scheme. As per the authorities, the investigation generated over $900 million in fraudulent billings. According to a report by Bilyonaryo, Yukee was previously recognised as one of the 100 most influential and leading Filipinos in the world. As per a copy of the jury’s statement in the case:
“Defendant MARIZEL YUKEE, together with her co-conspirators, targeted elderly Medicare beneficiaries, many of whom were terminally ill in hospice care, and caused medically unnecessary amniotic wound allografts to be applied to these vulnerable individuals.”…
