Pedestrian hospitalized with life-threatening injuries in Spring Valley crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Spring Valley, according to Metro police.

Around 9:10 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian on West Flamingo Road, east of South New Forrest Drive near South Buffalo Drive.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements showed that a Toyota Highlander was driving westbound on Flamingo Road when a pedestrian, crossing Flamingo outside of a marked crosswalk, crossed in front if the Toyota, police said.

The Toyota hit the pedestrian, throwing them into the road. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries…
