A reported construction-site theft in Henderson, Nevada, escalated into a violent confrontation after police said a man stole a nearly 40,000-pound front loader, drove it toward officers, and crushed two patrol vehicles before officers opened fire.
The YouTube channel Code Blue Cam reported that the incident began shortly after 9 a.m. on January 4, 2026, when a surveillance employee watching the property remotely saw a man climb over a fence and begin trying to start the heavy machine.
