Las Vegas Driver’s Windshield Shattered By Flying Industrial Chain Link

A routine Las Vegas gas run turned into a terrifying freeway ambush when a heavy metal object blasted through a driver’s windshield and landed in the passenger seat. The driver was left staring at an industrial-looking link that could have struck him or anyone riding beside him.

Marcus Jamerson told News 3 he was traveling on Interstate 15 when he had a close encounter with another vehicle, followed seconds later by the object smashing through his glass. The M-shaped piece appears to be a metal link used with industrial chains and rigging, although the report did not identify where it came from.

Jamerson initially suspected road rage, but his dashcam footage showed the object came from the opposite side of the freeway rather than from the car that had nearly hit him. He said he was grateful it missed the driver’s side and that he had no passenger, later describing the realization that “I could have died” as terrifying.
