LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Clark County students return to the classroom on Monday, marking the end of summer break. However, traffic zone safety is top of mind for administrators and parents.
Andrew Bennett, the Clark County Director of Traffic Safety, presented a report to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday, along with its recommendations.

“We don’t want to wait to that point when we have a fatality to make that change, so we’re always trying to identify patterns, recommend engineering solutions,” Bennett said.
The School Zone Traffic Safety Working Group put together the report. It’s the region’s first multi-agency partnership dedicated solely to school traffic safety.
