A freestanding building on Spring Mountain Road that sat empty after 99 Cents Only Stores collapsed into bankruptcy has a new tenant: Savers, the thrift retailer, just opened its seventh Las Vegas valley location at 7239 Spring Mountain Road. The roughly 17,900-square-foot store created about 40 jobs and is now open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
The site’s history explains a lot about how Savers landed the spot. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the building previously housed a 99 Cents Only store before that chain liquidated all 371 of its locations nationwide during Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in 2024, a collapse that shuttered 18 stores across Clark County and freed up roughly 425,000 square feet of vacant big-box retail space across Southern Nevada.
Commercial real estate firm Axiom Retail Advisors represented Savers Value Village in acquiring three Las Vegas-area locations totaling 80,000 square feet, a deal detailed by Connect CRE that also included a former Big Lots site on Blue Diamond Road and a retail space in Henderson. With the Spring Mountain Road opening, Savers now operates seven stores across the Las Vegas valley.
