LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County celebrated 73 years as the “wedding capital of the world” Sunday with an anniversary party at the Las Vegas Ballpark.
The county clerk’s office invited couples who got married in Las Vegas to “Love at the Ballpark,” a night where about 130 couples renewed their vows before the Aviators’ game.
Anyone in the stadium could take part
The clerk said anyone inside the stadium could take part when the ceremony was broadcast, standing up in their seats, holding hands and repeating the words along with the officiant.
“We’re inviting everybody in the stadium to join hands, look into each other’s eyes, and declare their love to each other,” said Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya. “We think it’s going to be a really special event.”…
