Las Vegas drivers feel pain at the gas pump as midterms loom

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Some drivers in the Las Vegas valley tell 8 News Now soaring gas prices will be top of mind when they hit the polls in November.

According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), drivers in Nevada saw an increase in average price per gallon for regular gas on September 17, up 18 cents from the week before to $5.19. As of Saturday night, the average now sits at $5.26.

The average regular gallon of gas for Las Vegas is $5.23 as of Saturday night, up from $5.04 the week prior, according to AAA.
