LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Anderson Dairy is closing in on 120 years in Las Vegas, and this morning Good Day Las Vegas’ JC Fernandez went inside the historic Vegas-born company to learn about its past and what goes into making some of its most iconic products.
JC was joined by Russell Peterson with Anderson Dairy, who walked us through the milk-processing operation from beginning to end. The morning started outside, where tanker trucks were arriving with fresh milk ready to be unloaded, tested, and processed.
Anderson Dairy’s story began in 1907, when Harry Anderson started with a small herd of just 10 to 15 cows. Because Las Vegas did not yet have modern refrigeration, Anderson delivered milk twice a day by horse-drawn wagon, using wet burlap to keep the glass bottles cool.
