LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada Homeless Alliance is hosting its fifth annual statewide conference on addressing homelessness.
NHA, a non-profit organization, will host “Flip the Script” on Thursday, Oct. 1, and Friday, Oct. 2, at Las Vegas City Hall.
The statewide conference “brings together people with lived experience of homelessness, service providers, advocates, policymakers, community leaders, and partners from across Nevada to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance solutions to homelessness,” according to a news release.

This year’s theme, “Flipping the Script: What Happens Here, Changes Here,” invites attendees to challenge traditional narratives about homelessness and examine how communities can approach the issue differently. The conference will create space for learning, collaboration, and conversations that center lived experience while exploring policies, practices, partnerships, and innovative approaches from across Nevada.

The shared goal for the statewide conference is to give stakeholders from multiple sectors an opportunity to come together and build stronger, more responsive systems for Nevadans experiencing homelessness. Participants are encouraged to question assumptions, share what is working, and identify opportunities for meaningful change.
