LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The lawyer for Henderson City Councilwoman Carrie Cox has requested to postpone the trial date for a felony charge filed against her for allegedly recording the private conversation of another councilwoman.
In a motion filed on Sept. 17, Cox’s lawyer, Josh Tomsheck, filed an unopposed motion to continue the trial, set to begin Oct. 19, and a hearing set for the week prior.

In the motion, Tomsheck cites having a conflicting trial date and that “the parties are continuing to work towards a potential resolution which would not necessitate a trial.”
