Netflix documentary explores murder, marriage and death penalty in Las Vegas case

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A new Netflix documentary traces the investigation that took Las Vegas Metro detectives across the country as they built a case against Thomas Randolph, a man whose six marriages and the deaths of four of his wives became central to a years-long investigation.

Randolph was sentenced to death in 2017 for murdering his wife, Sharon Randolph, and killing the man prosecutors said he hired to shoot her at their Las Vegas home. The documentary, “The Widower, ’Til Death Do Us Part,” follows Metro Detective Dean O’Kelley’s investigation and Randolph’s efforts to avoid the death penalty.

Thomas Randolph, her husband, told police at the time that a man broke into their home, shot his wife, and that, in self-defense, Randolph pulled out his gun and shot the intruder. Detectives featured in the documentary say they believed there was more to Randolph’s story…
