‘Don’t ever give up,’ message from Las Vegas mother who says daughter was taken

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – More than 8,000 children are reported missing each year in Nevada, according to Nevada Missing Children Clearinghouse. Rokesha Smith of Las Vegas told 8 News Now she never thought her 12-year-old daughter would be one of them.

‘I can’t do this,’ were the words Smith said after searching for her daughter who was taken in broad daylight almost three years ago. For the first time, she is talking about the efforts to find her daughter.

There were many sleepless nights for Smith, however, she said she never lost faith.

Smith told 8 News Now’s Ozzy Mora she never thought this would happen to her family until it did.
