Joint Arizona-Nevada Sting Operation Nets 9 Suspects in Multi-Million Dollar Drone Theft Ring

In a sweeping crackdown between Arizona and Nevada, law enforcement from both states have joined forces to bust a grand-scale stolen property trafficking operation, with a stash including 600 high-end drones estimated at $1.2 million dollars, as first reported by News3LV. The operation, initiated by Henderson Police with the support of Bullhead City Police Department and other agencies, has netted nine suspects, though another remains at large.

According to Fox5Vegas, information shared by Henderson authorities tipped off Bullhead City Police on March 13 about the drone heist that took place on March 4, leading police to the residence of the Loftin brothers, Eric and Chad, where police uncovered not just drones but also illicit vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, and firearms, what’s more, investigations have peeled back the layers on an extensive trafficking ring. On Thursday, Eric Loftin was arrested by HPD detectives in Las Vegas and faces several felony charges.

While the elder Loftin faces his set of felonies, Chad Henry Loftin, 41, has evaded capture and is wanted for his alleged involvement in the ring for trafficking stolen property.
