LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Gas prices aren’t the only cost surging for Americans. According to Airlines for America, jet fuel prices have spiked 65% since the conflict with Iran, resulting in pricey flights for consumers.
However, it appears people still want to travel, so they are adjusting how they do it- by skipping flights and hitting the road.

Mesquite is a small town in Nevada, near the Arizona border, known for its golf courses and proximity to popular parks like Zion and Valley of Fire. Hotel managers in Mesquite told 8 News Now they’ve been busy and are seeing an influx of road-trip travelers.
