LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — North Las Vegas police released new video and pictures of a deadly police shooting involving a man “acting erratically” atop a car and armed with scissors following a crash, according to police.
It occurred on April 29, near the intersection of 5th Street and Gowan.

The man involved in the crash was later identified as Khalil Normi Jamal Smith, 31, and was described as “acting in a threatening manner” and reportedly armed with a sharp object, according to police.
When officers arrived at the scene, Smith was seen on the roof of a car “acting erratically,” police said. Officers attempted to get the suspect to comply with their commands, but he did not.
