LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The man accused of shooting and killing a Las Vegas Metropolitan police officer is pleading guilty but mentally ill to his charges.
Officer Truong Thai was responding to a domestic disturbance more than three years ago when he was shot and killed, allegedly by Tyson Hampton. Police say Officer Thai was a 23-year veteran of the department.
