LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The family behind Lotus of Siam is reopening the restaurant’s original location in the Commercial Center near Sahara Avenue. & Maryland Parkway.
Starting May 8, the restaurant will be open from 5-10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday during its soft opening period.

The location closed in 2017 after a roof collapse and flooding destroyed the restaurant. It briefly reopened in 2021, but closed due to COVID-related staffing shortages.
“We had to demo the entirety of this restaurant, [build a] new wine cellar, everything,” manager Penny Chutima said. “[It] took a lot of time, effort, money.”
In the time it took to reopen, the family built a new bar in the restaurant and a new wine cellar with an expansive wine collection dating back to before the restaurant’s closure.
