LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Blaming increased demand and rising operating costs, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada plans to hike its fees throughout Las Vegas and on the Las Vegas Strip.
An update on RTC’s website says it wants its customers to weigh in on the proposal before June 23. In addition, it lists a series of public meetings beginning May 21.
The proposal would raise bus fares for a single ride from $2 to $3, and for a 24-hour pass from $5 to $7. It would also raise rates on the Las Vegas Strip and eliminate certain passes, like a 15-day pass and a two-hour pass…
