LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A mother will spend the rest of her life in prison without the possibility of parole for drowning her two young children.
Jovan Trevino, 38, appeared on Tuesday inside Clark County District Court Judge Carli Kierny’s courtroom for her sentencing. She pleaded guilty in March to two counts of first-degree murder after reaching a settlement with the state that imposed a life sentence.
“On Monday, July 19, 2021, my babies’ precious, innocent lives were taken at the hands of their mommy,” Trevino said. “I truly was not in the right mind, in the darkest place that I’ve ever been.”…
