LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The driver of a blue Ford pickup did a donut directly in front of marked Metro patrol units after he was pulled over, and then took off on Lamb Boulevard at 90 mph in a 45 mph zone in the early morning hours of April 25, according to an arrest report.
A police helicopter and Metro vehicles went after him, but the helicopter abandoned the pursuit when a report came in regarding an officer-involved shooting elsewhere. Police in an unmarked vehicle pursued at speeds over 100 mph as the truck got onto the 215 Northern Beltway, heading west until it exited to U.S. 95/I-11 at the Centennial Bowl. The pursuit continued as the truck exited to Valley View Boulevard, but officers lost sight of the vehicle, according to the arrest report.
But officers caught up to the driver, identified as 22-year-old Cesar Sosa, almost two weeks later. A video had surfaced showing the blue pickup striking an observer at a street takeover. Police appealed to the public for help in finding the person who was hit in the video…
