Few groups have shattered as many records as BTS has in a relatively short time. Since debuting in 2013, the South Korean septet achieved massive success not by traveling the well-trod paths of other boy bands, but by blazing its own unique trail through social media and songs with serious subject matter. The results speak for themselves: The first all-South Korean group to reach number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200, as well as the first act from South Korea to top the Billboard 200. Its reach is everywhere, and to call its upcoming performances in Las Vegas a takeover is understating the case considerably.
From May 20-31 (details to come), the city will come alive with activations, parties, experiences and more, all tied to both the group’s performances and the release of its latest album, Arirang. Landmarks across Las Vegas will be activated, the Strip and digital marquees will be illuminated in the signature red theme of Arirang, there will be themed hotel experiences, food and beverage offerings, and after-parties will dot the landscape.
And that’s just the official events. There are also countless fan-organized activities, including Chinatown vendors selling BTS merchandise, BTS Army members ordering specialized drinks at boba shops, dance parties and fan-sponsored promo billboards at Miracle Mile Shops…
