2nd 18-year-old arrested in deadly Las Vegas drug deal shooting

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Metro police arrested a second teen in a deadly drug deal shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured in March, according to court records obtained by 8 News Now.

Police arrested 18-year-old Daequan Mcgee Tuesday on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, discharging a gun into a vehicle and child abuse, records showed.

Mcgee is named as a co-defendant in a deadly shooting that occurred on March 30, according to court documents. Around 9:45 p.m. police responded to an apartment complex in the 5800 block of Sky Pointe Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a man and woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Police said the male victim, identified as 30-year-old Deven Mays, was pronounced dead at the scene. The female victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
