LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — In a Las Vegas suburb, blood pooled around a woman holding her unconscious sister. The gunman backed away as neighbors called 911, but it was too late for the military wife — she had lost too much blood.
Hester Johnson, 75, was shot and killed during an alleged robbery while on a routine morning walk with her sister, 78-year-old Iredell Washington, on May 12 near South El Capitan Way and West Flamingo Road. Police arrested 24-year-old Devion Teague in connection with the robbery and shooting that left Johnson dead.

A week after the shooting, Washington said her home is quieter without her sister, whom she had relied on for the past six years
