LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — With temperatures already climbing into the triple digits ahead of Memorial Day weekend, Henderson Animal Protection Services is urging pet owners to take extra precautions to keep animals safe from extreme heat this summer.
The agency warned that extreme heat can quickly become deadly for animals in Southern Nevada, where pavement temperatures and enclosed outdoor spaces can become hazardous within minutes.
