Cuba earthquake shakes Miami, felt as far as Flagler County; buildings evacuated in Dade

Seismic activity from a 6.1 magnitude earthquake near Cuba on Monday afternoon reportedly swayed buildings in Miami and rattled the nerves of many in Florida, particularly in East Central Florida, at Disney World, and all the way up to Flagler County.

Reports of a building shaking a 2307 SW 1st Avenue in Miami and another nearby came in at 2:18 p.m., not long after the 2:01 p.m. earthquake was reported across major news and weather outlets.

According to police dispatch sites, police needed to evacuate a justice building and several large downtown buildings as multiple tremors were reported at different times…
