Gunfire On NW Miami Place Leaves Man In His 30s In Serious Condition

A man believed to be in his early 30s is in serious condition after being shot Saturday evening at a northwest Miami residence, according to police.

Officers were called to the home around 7:40 p.m., where they found the wounded man, authorities said. Miami Fire Rescue then transported him to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

As reported by the Miami Herald, officers located the victim at 6344 NW Miami Place. Miami police spokeswoman Kenia Fallat told the paper the man was believed to be in his early 30s. Fallat said Miami Fire Rescue paramedics took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital and that police have not released his name.

Hospital Care

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial’s Ryder Trauma Center, a Level I trauma center that treats severe gunshot wounds and other major injuries. The center notes that it provides around-the-clock resuscitation and surgical care for critical trauma patients.
