Feds rescue 240 Haitian migrants from sinking boat at sea: CBP commissioner

MIAMI — U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott shared an aerial video and photos on Thursday that he described as a team’s rescue at sea.

U.S. CBP Air and Marine Operations, the U.S. Coast Guard, and “international partners” rescued 240 Haitian migrants in the Caribbean, according to Scott.

“The overcrowded vessel was taking on water and in danger of sinking,” Scott wrote. “Our personnel helped prevent what could have been a catastrophic loss of life while stopping yet another illegal migration attempt.”…
