After The Anderson’s quiet closure in 2024, the newly formed All We Need Hospitality Group is filling the space with another electric cocktail oasis. Upper Eastside Hangout is now open as a sprawling, 250-person venue at 701 NE 79th Street.
As its name suggests, the outdoor food and drink garden blends Old Florida charm with a neighborhood first approach, transitioning from a family-friendly daytime gathering place to a late-night destination. The new courtyard is laid out with soft green turf, candy coral and citrus green accents, picnic tables and cream shade sails woven with string lights overhead.
Giant LED screens, cornhole boards and a foosball table also await for game days, movie nights and weekly programming. When guests get hungry, familiar local concepts like Cheeseburger Baby, Tacomiendo, Noodle Bar and Professor Snacks anchor the space.
“Miami’s nightlife has always been part of our city, but not a lot of places like ours that take shape as the day goes on, where you can bring your kids at 3 p.m., come back with friends for Happy Hour, and return for a date night at 9 p.m. that carries into late night,” said Travis Rogers, co-founder of All We Need Hospitality Group, in a statement…
