MIAMI (Court TV) — Prosecutors dropped charges against a woman accused of attacking fellow inmates at a Florida jail after the alleged victims failed to come to court.
Daisy Link, 31, had faced three charges of battery on a detainee for separate incidents at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. At a Monday status hearing, prosecutors dropped two of the charges, saying they could not reach the victims to have them appear.
In the first incident, Link was accused of punching another inmate multiple times in the dayroom at the jail. In another incident, Link allegedly rushed a different inmate on May 25, 2026, and punched her “numerous times in the head, face and pulled her by the hair,” investigators wrote in court documents.
Link still faces charges for a third alleged incident involving a pediatrician accused of killing her children, Neha Gupta. In that case, Gupta said she was alone in her cell when Link entered and “punched [Gupta] in the face and head at least fifteen times.” The alleged victim said no words were exchanged before the attack…
