HONOLULU (KHON2) — A working parking meter will have a red or green flashing light to show if there’s time left on the meter. Many of these can be found across Honolulu’s roads.
But some meters aren’t always functioning, creating some confusion.
“I always vouch for a space where there aren’t any meters for parking, whether that be somewhere farther from my actual destination,” said Honolulu resident Zoe Ott, who explained she’s no stranger to broken parking meters across Cooke Street, or at Kapiolani Park. “Sometimes parking in front of bad meters is what you’ve got to do though.”…
