HONOLULU (Island News) — The head of one of the state’s key construction agencies is set to retire at the end of this month.
Gordon Wood is the administrator at the Department of Accounting and General Services’ (DAGS) Public Works Division. It is the fourth-largest Capital Improvement Plan agency in state government, after the Departments of Education and Transportation and the University of Hawaiʻi.
DAGS is the central manager for many state building projects, overseeing jobs for sister agencies that lack their own engineering staff.
