HONOLULU (KHON2) — A change is coming for anyone who needs a birth, death or marriage record from the Hawaiʻi Department of Health. The state’s Vital Records Office is moving downtown as it brings its services to a new location and gives customers more time to visit in person.
The Office of Health Status Monitoring, home to the state’s Vital Records Office, will begin moving Monday, Sept. 21, from Kinau Hale at 1250 Punchbowl St. to City Financial Tower at 201 Merchant St., Suite 100. The move is expected to be completed by Thursday, Oct. 1.
Both locations will remain open during the transition; but once the move is complete, all in-person services will be provided at the new downtown location…
