HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu Police Chief David Lazar announced today the selection of HPD’s permanent deputy chiefs: Interim Deputy Chief Brandon Nakasato and Maj. Parker Bode.
“Brandon and Parker have consistently demonstrated integrity, a strong work ethic and steady leadership,” Lazar said. “They are forward thinkers who deeply care about this department, our people and the community we serve.”
Meet the deputy chiefs
Brandon Nakasato has served HPD for nearly 27 years, with a career spanning field operations, criminal investigations, and department administration. The UH Laboratory School graduate has held key leadership positions in the Criminal Intelligence Unit, Human Resources Division, Criminal Investigation Division (CID), and Police Services Officer (PSO) divisions, culminating in his role overseeing the Investigative Bureau.
