HONOLULU (KHON2) – – The humble egg salad sandwich is getting a fresh look in Hawai‘i. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, 7-Eleven Hawai‘i will offer a new Japanese Style Egg Salad Sandwich inspired by the popular version sold at 7-Eleven Japan.
Known in Japan as ‘tamago sando’, the convenience store sandwich has become a favorite for its soft bread and creamy egg filling; and 7-Eleven said the Hawai‘i version keeps those qualities while adding a local touch.
