HONOLULU (KHON2) — More kids on Oahu are getting access to free preschool.
The state opened 18 new public prekindergarten classrooms across 15 campuses. The DOE said the expansion is another step toward ensuring every keiki in Hawaii has the opportunity to benefit from free high-quality learning.
“Every new classroom creates an opportunity for more keiki to learn, grow and build a strong foundation for their future,” said Yuuko Arikawa-Cross, director of the Executive Office on Early Learning. “With these 18 new classrooms, we are moving closer to our goal of ensuring every keiki in Hawaiʻi has access to preschool and the opportunity to thrive.”…
