Parents demand answers after 12-year-old leaves Nanakuli campus unattended

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The parents of a 12-year-old Nanakuli student who requires one-on-one supervision are demanding answers after their daughter left campus unattended and was later found walking along Nanakuli Avenue.

Chloe Kahiamoe, a seventh grader, left school Aug. 11 and was found by a relative who happened to be driving through the area to get food. Her parents said they were not notified by the school before the relative found her.

“She was crying. She’s distraught and everything,” Chloe’s father, Alika Kahiamoe-Terukina, said. “I just told her, baby, daddy coming. Just wait.”…
