Military drains over 104M gallons of fuel from Red Hill facility

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Another tens of thousands of gallons of fuel was drained from the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility.

The military’s Joint Task Force-Red Hill announced that as of Wednesday, March 6, they’ve completed another step in their defueling process by removing all accessible residual fuel. This is in part of the more than 104 million gallons of fuel that has been drained in total.
